Nature has always been humans' ultimate grocery store. From fruits and
vegetables to meat and the countless herbs and spices, most of the food we
consume today originates in nature.
And with today's consumers showing greater interest in their food's provenance,
it makes sense that more are taking it into their own hands. This is clear in the
resurgence of backyard veggie patches and community gardens but also in foraging.
Once reserved for the most passionate chefs, there is a rebirth of curiosity about
where the food we eat comes from. We are questioning where berries were picked
and where fish was fished. We are getting closer to nature,
and mushrooms are integral to that.
Found in specific and delicate growing conditions, the Morel Mushroom is
widely regarded as the most prized fungi in the mushroom foraging community.
Usually discovered in the moist soils of woods or forests, thriving under stumps of
fallen trees, Morels are a delicious and rare treasure for those on the path of
culinary discovery. They're revered around the world, not just for their rarity but,
of course, for their taste too. With meaty, buttery, and earthy characteristics,
Morel mushrooms showcases the wonders of nature.
