A FOOTNOTE
Our future depends on our people, and the
skills they can use to deliver a superior service.
We have been investing in skills at all levels of
the organisation: we began to deliver training
through an on-line learning platform, introduced
peer led ‘#Learning #Sharing’ sessions and ran
a ‘Leap for Growth’ management development
programme. We also acquired skills by hiring,
especially the IT skills to deliver digitalization.
Our branding activities – a mix of publications,
sponsorship, conference participation, web and
social media presence – delivered a steady and
consistent message in all our markets, with
more consistent media exposure to complement
these activities.
In parallel with delivering these outstanding
results we have been in negotiations with
BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions to establish a
joint venture focussed on delivering Lifecycle
Management services across Europe. In
February 2019 we made a public announcement
of our intentions and are now obtaining the
necessary regulatory approvals.

It is always fantastic to win these awards
because they are the result of the hard work
of so many of our team, both customer facing
and hidden behind the scenes, throughout the
organisation. It is my pleasure to work with such
a highly motivated, dedicated team, and I thank
them all for the work they do so professionally.

Perhaps the most prestigious is our ‘Highly
Commended’ in The Circulars: this World
Economic Forum initiative is the world’s premier
circular economy award program. It recognises
organizations from around the world that are
making notable contributions to the circular
economy in the private sector, public sector and
society.

I remarked earlier on the way we have developed
sales skills. We began working systematically
to build the sales profession, with different
disciplines, career paths, training and a dedicated
sales leader. This will help us to go on serving
customers better, so that we continue to win
new business, and more importantly to maintain
high customer satisfaction levels.
Once formally approved, the effect on our
business will be significant. The new joint
venture company will use the BNP Paribas
Leasing Solutions organisation to bring our
sustainable IT lifecycle solution, delivered by
our new asset management tools, to customers
across Europe. Together we plan to build a new
billion-euro business over the next five years.

As you see, we won several awards: ‘Best use of
data’ for 3CheckIT, ‘Best IT asset management
team’ and several recognising our sustainability
initiatives. We are the first to win the Leasing
Life award twice in a row.
