RESPONSIBLE END-OF-LIFE
TREATMENT OF USED DEVICES
Our partners play an important role in assuring
the responsible end-of-life treatment of used
devices. These include our trading partners
through which the refurbished devices are
sold and the recycling partners that recycle the
unusable devices as raw material.
We usually maintain long-term relationships with
our trading partners. We choose our trading partners carefully and their background is checked.
At the start of our relationship, trading partners
answer a self-assessment questionnaire, which
includes a question about the countries where
they sell devices.
Because responsible end-of-life treatment of
the resold devices is important to us, we focus
on developing our trading partner network in
countries with an effective e-waste regulatory
environment. In 2017, over 98% of remanufactured devices (Core 1) were sold to trading partners in EU countries.
All of our recycling partners have high environmental standards, and the majority are ISO 14001
and ISO 9001 certified.
In 2018, we plan to develop our partner environmental due diligence process to ensure it is robust.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
PRACTICES IN DAILY WORK
We encourage environmentally friendly
behaviours in our daily work. For example, we
minimise the use of paper and sort and recycle
our office waste in all our offices.
Our Oslo office has e-bikes that can be used, for
example, to visit clients. This is both quicker than
driving in inner city traffic and has a lower environmental impact.
To decrease the emissions from work related
traveling and commuting, we encourage Skype
meetings and remote work where suitable.
