A note from our Managing Director, Paul Nolde:
757 Collab Champions,
This past year has been a period of exciting transitions and transformation for the 757 Collab
organization. When I came onboard as Managing Director in June, I knew that I was inheriting
a reputable brand and organization. The Collab model is unique because it aligns three of
the most critical components of a startup ecosystem all under one roof (Access to Capital,
Acceleration, and Incubation) while also providing place, community, and mentorship. This is
a model that has put the Hampton Roads region on the national map and positioned us
favorably to impact founders across the broader RVA757 megaregion and beyond.
Our organization has achieved many important milestones over the last 6 months including:
Successfully merging 757 Angels with VentureSouth, helping to drive more investment
capital to our founders and opening up new investment vehicles and opportunities for
our investors
Creating many new innovation partnerships with corporations and other
entrepreneurial-minded organizations in the region
Piloting new programs and events to reach more entrepreneurs at the right time in
their company’s life cycle
Surpassing over 12,000 visits to the Startup Studios space in Assembly since launch
Looking ahead into next year we are excited to be rolling out new programs to help us reach
even more entrepreneurs, activate our alumni network, expand our presence on the Peninsula,
and so much more. Thank you to our dedicated team, founders, mentors, partners, investors,
sponsors, stakeholders, and champions for consistently leaning in to help move our startup
community forward.
