Class of 2023’s Academic Signing Days
The
were held on April 27 and 28. Eighty students
participated in the event. Thirty-eight students signed to attend LSU and 42 students signed to colleges across the U.S.
and abroad.

Forty-two student-athletes have been recognized
as All Academic and All Composite Athletes. The
student athletes recognized are members of the
following teams: baseball, softball, tennis, indoor
and outdoor track, cross country, swim, bowling,
soccer, volleyball, basketball, and football! To
earn All Academic recognition, senior athletes
must have earned at least a 3.5 GPA while
participating in a sport for at least two years. To
earn All Composite, senior student-athletes must
hold a 4.0 GPA for three years. Congratulations
to all our student-athletes that dedicate
themselves to their teams and their studies!
ULS Juniors took the March ACT on ULS’s campus, and
students scored
24
30 or higher.
students earned a 36,
a perfect score!
Scoring a 30 or above puts students in the 93%
percentile of all students, placing them in the top
7%. Congratulations to the members of the class of
2024 joining the ULS 30+ ACT Society.

Lessons,

Foundation and School Aids, in
April. Practically Teaching is a
one-day conference given by
experienced teachers from the
University Laboratory School
and is geared toward beginner
teachers and pre-service
teachers. Attendees had the
ability to network, develop their
professional skill set, and learn
practical and impactful lessons to
use in the classroom.
Cassie Robbins (11th grade), Ava Heims (11th
grade), Nathaniel Francis (12th grade) and
Rachel Augustine (12th grade) completed
two rounds of vocal auditions and were
chosen as four of the best singers in
Louisiana to participate in the Louisiana
Music Educators Association All State
Honor Choir!
Shadow the Director and Principals
Winners of the 2021-2022 Golden Gala Auction “Shadow
the Director and Principals”, were on duty bright and early on
Friday, March 3. First-grade student Julia Hebert and fourthgrade brothers Callum and Cohen Mays shadowed Principal
Leon and Director George. Class of 2006 alumnus, Jordan
Piazza shadowed Principal Rusciano.
