Orleans, sharing
their knowledge,
learning new skills,
and preparing
for the 2023-24
school year.
The University Singers and Premiere Company
Show Choir, under the direction of Dana Lux,
competed at the National Performing Arts
Festival in Orlando, Florida.
Margaret Fowler Milam ’93 and
Dana Lux received their master's degrees in Music
Education from the University of Louisiana
in Monroe in December, and
Ellen Daugherty
received her PhD in P-12
Educational Leadership
from LSU in December.

The Cub Pride Band participated in the STARS
Performance Program at Universal Studios in
Orlando Florida. The band showcased their
talents at the Universal Mardi Gras Celebration.
This spring, students
in K-5 grade learned
about the importance
of heart, brain, lung,
and emotional health
through the American
Heart Association’s
Kid's Challenge, raising
more than $65,000 to
help fight heart disease!
More than 400 students
participated in the
Move More or Be Kind
challenges online, and
122 families learned
Hands-Only CPR. We
are so proud of our
Cub Community for this
amazing accomplishment
and helping raise
awareness for the fight
against heart disease.
