The safety and efficacy of ReGum-Vet™ were
evaluated for the treatment of periodontitis in
dogs, in a multicenter, randomized, controlled
clinical study (Gawor et al. 2022). Results of oral
and dental examination and full-mouth dental
radiographic examination are presented.

ReGum-Vet™ use was shown to significantly
reduce the probing depth (n=11) and significantly
increase the alveolar bone level (n=9) compared
to open periodontal therapy alone, three months
after the treatment. The dry scaffold tested was
shown to be effective and safe.
ABOUT REGUM-VET™
ReGum-Vet™ biodegrades within 3 months,
leaving behind recovered healthy periodontal
tissue. ReGum Vet™ is available in the form of a
cone to treat furcation areas, alveoli, fistulas or
deep holes, and in the form of a flat dry scaffold to
treat side pockets. The dry scaffold is elastic and
can be cut to the desired size by the attending
veterinarian. ReGum-Vet™ has proven to be
safe and significantly superior to acceptable
treatment.

ReGum-Vet™ is a regenerative dry scaffold,
engineered for stimulating tissue growth.
ReGum-Vet™ is tailored for easy dry scaffoldation
in the periodontal cavity during (open)
periodontal treatment, without the need for a
membrane. It is a ready to use, single piece of
three-dimensional stable structure, composed
of biologically crosslinked gelatin. Once the dry
dry scaffold is soaked in saline / sterile Ringer’s
lactate solution, it regains its elastic properties
and is easily placed in the tissue. In the tissue,
ReGum-Vet™ provides improved healing ability
to the receding gums and the alveolar bone, and
leads to better results of restored tissue.
