pro CAbASA & CAbASA ShAker
The Pro Cabasa produces a traditional scraping effect for
rhythmic patterns when shaken or twisted, similar to the sound
of a rattlesnake. The Cabasa/Shaker is a hybrid piece of hand
percussion. A traditional cabasa on the outside, with 10 rows of
looped steel beads atop a textured stainless steel surface to deliver
a bright & sonically rich scraping effect. Inside, its steel shot fill
produces a moderate, well-balanced shaker tone. The two effects
combine to create a percussion piece that’s incredibly versatile
in sound & patterning, working wonders for both recordings and
live performances. It has a comfortable handle & sleek black finish
stamped with Toca’s classic logo.
