Splitting captions:
Click wherever you would like to break the sentences, two lines will appear when you hover. The
sentence will split when you click.
Joining two captions:
To attach two sentences or words, hover your
mouse at the end of a line, a + sign will appear.
Click on it and the two parts will re-attach.
Once you are happy with the way the transcript is broken down, click ‘Next.’
3.3 Caption times
At this stage, you set the start and end time for each caption (captions that you determined in
the previous step 3.2).
You will notice the two red markers that show the beginning and the end of each caption. When
you start they are stuck to each other. (joined?)
Press and hold the button ‘hold to auto-advance’ to play the video automatically. Release it
when the part of the video corresponding to the caption is done. (The button turns red when
you hold it down and you can read ‘Release to auto-stop’).
