euroDEV is one of the first
studies that has looked at
the genetics of NDDs on the
African continent in a meaningful
way. It is an examination of children
who have received a diagnosis of
autism spectrum disorder, intellectual
disability and attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder, including
other NDD impairments. NDDs are
a group of childhood-onset conditions
which tend to have a varied clinical
presentation, depending on the
child. They may be associated with
significant impairment of personal,
social, and cognitive functioning.
