Increasing capacity in the regions with PPLI associates
Associates are engaged to build capacity in the regions and extend the reach of PPLI. Four additional
associates were recruited in June and another two in October 2020 to make a team of 15 in order to assist
with implementation of some key actions.
This year’s training sessions focused on mentoring, developing and building relationships, communities of
practice, and support for FLA and CT.
They were also involved in a variety of projects such as:

Blended learning
•
Digital technology tutorials
•
CLIL
•
CPD for the Leaving Certificate new curricular languages
•
Support for COGG setting up a MFL community of practice for Irish speaking schools
•
Support for FLA
Impact

Better visibility for supports available from PPLI
for teachers

Opportunities for relevant support have been

provide support

Increased quality assurance and relevance of

Next Steps

Maintain a team of 15 associates

expertise to provide additional supports to more teachers in a timely manner.
