The support for the 2019/2020 FLA and the CT continued with eight support sessions in January and
February 2020. The role of FLA in the classroom and the support FLA can be to teaching and learning, were
covered.

their cooperating teachers were invited to look at planning and collaboration in the first instance. 11 sessions
were organised based on geographical location of FLA and CT. There was great sense of relief that the
sessions went ahead, and the sessions were all the more important in the context of the additional need for
support and collaboration in this new context. Each FLA was assigned to a PPLI associate whom they could
contact with questions.
Activities for the classroom based on Spotify playlists

To coincide with the Languages Connect campaign ‘Say Yes to Languages’ Spotify song lists, FLA were asked
to contribute with songs in the target languages. They were asked to highlight how it could be used in the
