PPLI Annual Report 2020 - Flipbook - Page 33
In preparation for the 2020 cohort of CLIL teachers, PPLI established a new private ‘CLIL 4 MFL’ Facebook
group in May to share best practice, to ask questions and provide mutual support to each other. It is also a
place where PPLI could share relevant ideas, approaches, articles and research with members as well as
engage members in professional conversations. In the Covid context, the Facebook page was considered a
way to support these CLIL teachers.
Videos provided on the Facebook group covered a wide range of subject areas and worked very well as an
accessible starting point for discussion in the online Communities of Practice.
An hour-long online round-table
discussion involving three educators
with various experience of CLIL was
filmed, in which they discussed
questions which had been submitted by
members of the Facebook group and
other general questions about their
experiences teaching CLIL.
