Wellbeing services
In May 2020, The Drinks Trust
announced

Also, in May, The Drinks
Trust launched its
Therapy Services,
comprised of video,
telephone, and text therapy
services with degreequalified therapists provided
by Dr Julian.
“It can be difficult to take
the first steps to talk to
someone about personal
problems, finding the right
therapist is key. I was made
to feel at ease, I trusted
my therapist and she made
it easy to pour out my
problems. She was always
invested in every word I
spoke, never made me feel
I couldn’t be totally honest
and the advice & help
she offered was extremely
helpful. I am ever grateful
and feel a stronger person
now moving forward.”
IMPACT REPORT 2020
In June 2020, the third
of these services were
introduced, Sleep &
Insomnia treatment.
The charity had
131 registrations for
assessment, with 13
going on to complete the
entire treatment course
by year-end.
“This year has been so
difficult, and I’d given up
hope of sorting out my sleep
until I found out about
Sleepstation. What a miracle
it’s been! Thank you to all the
coaches who supported me. I
couldn’t have done it without
your little messages. I feel so
much better.”
In addition to the three
new wellbeing services,
in November 2020, The
Drinks Trust announced
the new Helpline
service, which offers
24 hours in-the-moment
counselling and several
new ways of reaching out,
including WhatsApp and
email.
The increased and
improved services now
offered by The Drinks
Trust across wellbeing have
seen successful uptake
from beneficiaries, with
986 individuals having
received one or more
of the services in 2020.
Launched in November 2020, The Drinks Community is a dedicated networking
portal for everyone working in the drinks industry, from production to sale.
The platform provides a space for industry professionals to learn about
vocational and wellbeing development and is dedicated to helping the
workforce progress in their careers.
Resources on The Drinks Community are produced by leading industry
professionals and provide the learnings they have taken from their careers’
successes and challenges and encourage peer to peer learning and support.
Additionally, the Community runs a mentoring program following its launch
in early 2021; it now has 30 mentors and mentees completing the program’s
first round. The Drinks Community will launch another round of mentoring
later in 2021.
To date, over 1,000 members have joined The Drinks Community. They benefit
from the experience and skills being shared by their colleagues, particularly when
many of our colleagues in the drinks and hospitality industry require professional
support.
“I have just signed up to The Drinks Community and noticed the
platform’s potentiality, with mutually beneficially new working
relationship. Great job!”
