Covid-19 response 2021
In April of 2020, The Drinks Trust
launched the first of five emergency
relief grants, The COVID-19
Emergency Fund.
In the first six months of 2021, a further round of COVID19
related grant giving took place place; Another Round. As a result
of the significantly increased levels of hardship, the grant was
increased to £400 per qualifying individual.
This first round was followed by the
Festival Bar Staff Emergency Grant,
the Brewery Staff Emergency Grant,
the Nightclub Bar Staff Emergency
Grant, and the End of Furlough
Emergency Grant round. Recipients
were awarded a one-off £250 sum
and were assessed based
on their financial need and hardship.
By the end of 2020, The Drinks Trust had awarded a total of 2,655 various
COVID-19 grants to individuals across the UK; the total value of all
COVID-19 grants given at year-end was £635,631.00.
