UNDERGRADUATE LEVEL COURSES: CHOICE BASED CREDIT
SYSTEM (CBCS) – Learning Outcome-based Curriculum Framework (CBCSLOCF)
St. Stephen’s College follows the University of Delhi’s Choice Based Credit SystemLearning Outcome-based Curriculum Framework (CBCS-LOCF) at the undergraduate
level. The CBCS-LOCF is an internationally acknowledged system of education,
implemented by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for higher education institutions
in India. This system facilitates a cafeteria system of course selection for students, thereby
enabling them to actively participate in the process of garnering knowledge. The LOCF
approach is envisioned to provide a focused, outcome-based syllabus at the undergraduate
level with an agenda to structure the teaching-learning experiences in a more student-centric
manner. It strengthens the students’ experiences as they engage themselves in the programme
of their choice. The Under-Graduate Programmes will prepare the students for both
academia and employability.
