HELLO DEAR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT!
DO YOU ALSO LIKE TO TRAVEL AND
DISCOVER NEW AND UNUSUAL THINGS?
HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF WWOOFING?
Wwoofing, Wwoofer, Wwoof... This is neither a new language nor a new conjugation.
Originally, the acronym "Wwoofing" stood for "World Wide Opportunities on Organic
Farms". The idea was to offer jobs on organic farms, to make people aware of environmental
issues, but it didn't stop there! Today you can not only join the life of a community, a family,
a youth hostel, a company committed to sustainable development but also much more...
What exactly is the concept? It's very simple, it's an exchange of services. The
host called Wwoof'host offers accommodation, food and in return the Wwoofer
will work daily for a few hours in the place where he is. How cool is that? All
the rest of the time is reserved for visiting, learning the culture, going out etc.
It is an international community that was born in 1971 in the UK and continues to grow!
To all lovers of travel, discovery, nature and new cultures, this programme
is a great plan for a cultural and educational exchange. And the coolest
thing about it, you only spend 40€ to register and you don't have to give
anything to your host. Imagine going to Germany, Norway, Hungary,
Canada and many more... Who knows, maybe next year it will be your turn?
