FIELD CLUB OF OMAHA
Founded as Omaha
Cricket Association
Settled in the heart of Midtown, Field Club of Omaha is as storied as the
city itself. Originally the Omaha Cricket Association, the Club was
founded as a reprieve from daily life at the turn of the 19th century. In
the nearly 125 years since it's founding many things have changed;
however, the sense of community and dedication to relaxation remain
the same.
1901 - 1905

Field Club is situated on its original land, establishing it as one of the
oldest clubs west of the Mississippi River and the oldest in Nebraska.
The Club’s origins date back to 1898, becoming an early Omaha
employer and one of the oldest Omaha businesses still in operation.
1941
Hosted 45th United States
Amateur Golf Tournament
Spring of 1901 brought the construction of the original clubhouse along
with the development of a nine-hole golf course and the Club's
namesake cricket fields. Soon after, additional amenities were added
including nine more golf holes, tennis courts, bowling alleys, and a
baseball diamond complete with a grandstand. The course design
dates back to 1902 with several of the original greens still in play today.
