Paving the way for the
next generation of startups
As Australia’s University of Enterprise, UniSA’s ingrained
culture of innovation, focussed and highlighted through
the success of the Innovation & Collaboration Centre (ICC),
has inspired the establishment of the ICC Enterprise Circle.
ICC Enterprise Circle Chair and UniSA
alumnus John R McDonald AM has had an
extensive career as a chartered accountant,
businessman and entrepreneur in South
Australia.

Chair, ICC Enterprise Circle
The creation of the Circle sees a group of
South Australian business pioneers guiding
the next generation of innovative young
businesses. In addition to a charitable
commitment of $20,000 per annum, each
member is helping to build South Australia’s
economy by supporting new enterprising
startups through their own experience and
exceptional business acumen.

Together, we can achieve something remarkable
“Our role in this Circle is to provide an
external team environment, to consider
overall marketability enhancements and
bring these startups expeditiously through
the seemingly never-ending circle of
difficulties in order to choose the right
targets to light up better paths to success,”
John said.
“It is important now more than ever, to
uncover new and innovative businesses
both from within the existing sectors and
those yet to be seen on the horizon.”
