A sunset can calm our minds, bring us peace, and make
us stop and appreciate the beauty around us. We've
selected four of our favorite spots in town where you can
witness stunning sunsets.

LAKE IVANHOE PARK

There's no better way to reconnect with nature than at Lake Ivanhoe Park. The
park is a favorite place for dog walkers, families, and joggers.
Boat ramps are available for visitors who want to launch their boats on the lake.
Recreational activities include biking, rollerblading, and running tracks.
The variety of birds is a delight for birdwatchers. It is a great place to picnic!
NEWTON PARK
31 W Garden Ave, Winter Garden, FL 34787
The views from Newton Park are spectacular. Many people love this park because
it makes them feel connected to nature in a way that other parks cannot. Lake
Apopka is accessible by a simple boardwalk and there are plenty of spots to set
up a picnic.
This park is a popular spot for nature photographers as it is a quiet and peaceful
place to observe birds, squirrels, turtles, and other small animals. Newton Park
features a playground, gazebo, public restrooms, and stunning views of the water.
You can even launch your boat here or cast a line and do a little fishing.
MAGNOLIA PARK
2929 S Binion Rd, Apopka, FL 32703
Magnolia Park, also called peacock park, is an outdoorsman's paradise. Among
the amenities at this public space are three separate playgrounds, public
restrooms, plenty of parking, campgrounds, basketball courts, and peacocks.
There are quite a few gorgeous peacocks wandering across the paths and sitting
quietly in the trees. Pavilions can be rented for parties or events. Bocce ball and
volleyball courts, hiking trails, and campsites are also available in this park.
LAKE HIGHLAND PARK
1132 Ferris Avenue, Orlando, FL 32803
Quiet oasis with scenic views of the lake with walking trails, open spaces, fishing
areas , views of the city skyline and connectivity to the Orlando Urban Trail. The
Orlando Urban Trail is 4.7-mile out-and-back trail. Generally considered an easy
route, it takes an average of 1 h 40 min to complete.
This is a popular trail for road biking, trail running, and walking.
The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
