PPLI is also part of the curriculum group in the ‘CLIL in Languages Other Than English - Successful Transitions
Across Educational Stages’ project. This is supported by the European Centre for Modern Languages of the
Council of Europe from 2020 to 2023.
In June 2021, approximately 60 experts attended the project’s initial meeting and launched the CLIL LOTE
network. Stakeholders from 27 countries formed eight working groups in order to produce concrete
materials including:
1. Recommendations for the further development of curricula and teacher education
2. Teaching materials that, among other things, build on the CEFR
3. Portfolio examples
4. Suggestions on how to establish collaboration between schools, teachers and students at different levels
of education
