Chinese in Transition Year

1,200 students
In 2021, over 1,200 Transition Year students took Chinese classes with teachers supported by PPLI. In response
to the introduction of Leaving Certificate Chinese, these TY courses focused on language and pluricultural
studies. Many more students also got the opportunity to explore and experience the Chinese language and
culture during #ThinkLanguages, the awareness-raising campaign by Languages Connect.
