PPLI teachers have brought Russian language classes to mainstream schools at Transition Year and Leaving
Cert level. PPLI also provide Saturday classes to students in three locations.
Transition Year and Leaving Certificate Classes
Russian is offered as a Transition Year module and as a Leaving Certificate course. In 2021, 1024 students
learned Russian as part of TY. 87 students sat the Russian Leaving Certificate exams and their accredited
grades were facilitated by PPLI.
Saturday Classes
To support students who do not have access to the Russian curriculum in their schools, PPLI offered Leaving
Certificate Saturday classes with 81 students taking classes in Dublin, Galway, and Limerick.
