HOW TO FIT YOUR
HELMET CORRECTLY
A bike helmet can only offer the proper
protection if it is worn correctly.
It is important to find the right helmet for
your head. First, choose an approved helmet.
An approved helmet has CE and EN 1078
certifications. Secondly, find the right size.
It has to cover the forehead, back of the
head and the sides. It has to be tight but still
comfortable to wear.
Check if the straps are tight weekly. If the
helmet gets a heavy hit, it has to be changed.
YOUR HELMET FITS PROPERLY WHEN:
1.
You have two fingers between the edge
of the helmet and your nasal root
2. The straps are around your ears
3. The buckle is tight under your chin, max
two fingers distance
4. You have adjusted the adjustment wheel
in the back of the helmet so it fits
without being too tight.
