Out of the Darkness Walk - Community Events
River Edge participated in the Out of the Darkness Community Walk in Macon on
September 24. These nationwide events help give individuals the courage to open up about
their own connections to suicide prevention, and are a platform to create a culture that’s
smarter about mental health. Friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers walked side-by-side,
supporting each other and in memory of those we’ve lost.
The River Edge team raised $2,875 for the cause this year.
“I was honored to be the captain for Team River Edge at the Out of the Darkness Community
Walk. Suicide prevention and supporting those who are impacted by suicide is a key component
of the mission of River Edge. Thank you to everyone who came out to support the walk.”
