4 Christ Ranch is in the hill country
seven miles outside of Junction, TX.
In July of 2021, we bought this ideal
property with the vision to expand
our breeding herds on more natural
pastures. 4 Christ Ranch gives all glory
to God for the 818 acres of fertile land.
Located in Valley Mills, TX, Hatada
Ranch was founded in 1987 when
the first super exotic stepped foot
on the 1,200 acre ranch. Through
hard work and dedication from Doug
Dutschmann and his family, Hatada
Ranch now sits on over 2,000 acres of
the most excellent terrain.
At DC Ranches, we began raising
exotics approximately 10 years ago and
selected the highest quality genetics
to establish our herds. We take great
pride in offering superior genetics
through our closely monitored animal
breeding program and offer high
quality service to our customers.
Along with his sons, Courtlin and Catlin,
Doug was able to expand the herd into
20+ exotic species.
We currently have 11 species on our
Dripping Springs ranch including
addax, bongo, dama gazelle, grant’s
gazelle, East African impala, kudu,
nile lechwe, nyala, roan, sitatunga and
springbok. We have additional African
species available on our sister ranch in
We have klein and love grass, both
native to Africa, along with some other
native grasses allowing our herds to
graze and live as naturally as possible.
4 Christ Ranch’s goal is to continue to
breed with some of the best genetics
the great state of Texas has to offer and
can provide the quality you are looking
for to benefit your breeding program.
By allowing the large herds to roam
freely throughout the ranch, plant
spring and winter plots, provide yearround supplemental feeding and
quarterly worming, it is apparent that
health and consistency are key!
State-of-the-art irrigation systems and
lush vegetation help to provide each
species with the proper terrain.
Hatada Ranch prides itself on being a
family-oriented ranch that specializes
in giving you exotics with superior
We designed our pastures for the comingling of certain species and our
herds are healthy, well fed and cared
for under daily observation.
