BRANDON LEER
I was born in Port Elizabeth, South
Africa in 1964 and currently live in
Pietermaritzburg South Africa. I am
married to Monique who is a qualified
Dietician. My son Cameron, recently
graduated from Hartpury University in the
UK with an honours degree in Agriculture.
My daughter Jessica is studying second
year Nutrition at Winchester University in
the UK.
My career as an Auctioneer, started in
1988 after I graduated from Agricultural
College, with a company entrenched in
livestock auctions. Livestock and Wildlife
auctions formed the major part of my
business and in 1992, I began to specialise
in the auctioning of pedigree and seed
stock animals. To date, I have conducted
more than 1 500 auctions throughout
South Africa and its neighbouring states,
selling mostly Large and Small Livestock,
Wildlife and Thoroughbred Racehorses.
COL. ROLAND
“TOOTER” TREES
Col. Roland “Tooter” Trees has been an
auctioneer for 30 years. Cattle, sheep,
goats, exotic and domestic game are his
areas of expertise. He conducted the first
Mohair auction in the U.S. with a gross
of 1.2 million. Trees is a graduate of Texas
Tech University with a degree in Animal
Science. He has judged livestock shows
in Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Texas
and across the United States. He and his
wife of 33 years, Terri, have two children. A
daughter, Taitum, and a son, Taos.
There have been many highlights in my
very enjoyable career. However, selling
a Cape buffalo Bull by the name of Inala,
must stand out as the greatest highlight
so far. I sold him for a record price of
approximately $11 Million.
