EHN 2021-22HealthConnectAnnualReport 10FNL - Flipbook - Page 3
A year in review
2021 and 2022 continued to be full of opportunities and challenging
years for the health care industry.
Over the past two years, the Premera Health
Connect Plan has evolved in its ability to meet the
specific needs of its members. We are emerging
from the pandemic and have new resources to
serve plan members, like a renovated birthing
center at EvergreenHealth and a brand new birthing
center at Overlake Medical Center & Clinics (both
featured later in this report). Access to health care
continues to be a challenge, but we have a strong
team dedicated to addressing this challenge.
In 2021 and 2022 we helped optimize patient care
to some of the best outcomes we have ever seen.
This is evidenced by our success in quality and
measures. EHN Navigators continued offering
concierge care to Premera Microsoft Premera
Health Connect plan members. In 2022, Navigators
answered 1418 calls answered and connected
1632 member to health care. (Navigators also do
outreach to help schedule important preventative
care appointments.) On average, 94% of calls were
answered under 30 seconds. The Navigators are
truly a great representation of the best work we
do at Eastside Health Network.
In many ways, what we did in 2021 and 2022
was the same work that we have always done—
patient care, reaching metrics on patient
satisfaction and health outcomes, and continuing
to maximize member experience in the Health
Connect plan—but we did it in a world that was
anything but normal. We did the ordinary under
extraordinary circumstances. And for that, I could
not be more proud.
2021–22 Annual Report
In addition to our continued work, we have several
key highlights to report from 2021 and 2022,
including welcoming our new Project Manager,
Strategic Initiatives, Katie Chang. The Health
Connect contract surpassed 10,000 members for
the first time.
As we move into 2023, health care is undoubtedly
facing challenges. Staffing shortages remain an
issue. Covid-19 is still a looming uncertainty.
The continuation of both of these factors has
transitioned into economic difficulties for some
facilities within our network. But we remain
committed to our goals of providing excellent care
at the best possible value. Given that we must
operate in this challenging world, I am confident
that EHN has the best team to handle the work
and that Microsoft employees will
experience concierge-level care
when they interact with
EHN employees
and providers in
our network.
