Quarterly clinical meetings
EHN hosts quarterly clinical meetings addressing some of the most
common health care issues faced by Health Connect Members.
These meetings bring together clinicians and
administrators from Eastside Health Network (EHN),
Premera, and Microsoft to review our collective
performance for Health Connect members on
clinical issues, access, patient experience, benefits
design, communication, and related issues that
are important to ensure high-quality care and
a differentiated experience. Recent topics have
included maternity care (covered in detail on page
10), behavioral health, neuroscience, and cancer.
Behavioral health
Mental health care is important to Health Connect
Members, with 24.4% of members utilizing mental
health services in 2021 and 24.2 utilizing the
services in 2022. Telehealth behavioral services
increased significantly during the pandemic and
have been maintaining their popularity postpandemic with nearly three quarters of claims for
behavioral health registering as virtual care.

“As a semi-young person with no chronic illness to manage and minimal interaction with
the health system, at first glance, the biggest draw the Premera Health Connect plan
was the absence of a deductible for in-network services. No surprise costs. In only a
few months, I’ve learned about all the ways Microsoft differentiates itself from other
employers simply by how they care for their employees. This plan complements that
level of differentiation through services like concierge care with our Navigators.”
