Aissatou is a lawyer licensed in Paris and New York
and she focuses on digitalisation in Africa,
including IT, telecom, privacy, FinTech. She has a
wealth of experience in intellectual property and
technology-related law, including telecom, consumer
digital services, software licence, cloud, outsourcing,
data protection compliance, privacy by design,
cybersecurity, integration and other professional
services. Over the years, she has advised the IT & digital
functions of multinational companies, including in
their digital transformation, as well as e-commerce and
FinTech start-ups.
She also has significant dispute resolution and
regulatory enforcement experience in those areas.
With regard to her activities in Africa, Aissatou has
been assisting private sector clients in their investment
and compliance endeavours whilst working alongside
African ICT and data protection authorities. She
regularly works with African-based local lawyers who
have developed expertise in technology-related law.
She has authored several articles on data protection and
privacy in Africa.
