Our Founder
For Tobi, being a doctor and surgeon was more a calling than a career choice.
A collaborative opportunity to acquire scientific knowledge and technical
expertise while helping, supporting, and guiding people toward better health.
As an attending breast oncology surgeon, in a hospital-based group, she longed to
spend more time with patients discussing their diagnosis, prognosis, treatment,
and aftercare. The shift to private practice gifted the benefits of a more humane
medical approach - for patients, for families, and for the clinician, herself.
Years later, managing her own medical issues, Tobi found herself in the unexpected
position of experiencing healthcare as a patient rather than a provider. Fortunately,
she knew which questions to ask, whose opinions to solicit, and what options to
pursue.
Once clear, that returning to life as a surgeon was not an option, an alternative path
was envisioned. Create a medical consulting firm bringing physicians and surgeons
together to help patients navigate and negotiate their way through the healthcare
maze in a more supportive and empathic fashion.
From surgeon to patient advocate and consultant, Tobi's career has been defined by
dedication, resilience, compassion, capacity, and competency. She is grateful for the
continued opportunity to assist clients and their families through their most
vulnerable and emotional times.
