FORTUNE 500 CORPORATE CAMPUS
ENTRY DRIVE AND COURTYARD
MINNETONKA, MN
PHASE 1
PHASE 2
The project focused on two main areas of improvement: a redesigned
entry drive and a new employee courtyard. The entry drive project aimed
to improve safety by introducing traffic calming measures, a pedestrian
trail, a roundabout, and landscaping. Stormwater treatment areas were
also included to improve water quality in the region. The courtyard will be
built in two phases to provide a much-needed outdoor gathering space,
including two patio spaces, a central stormwater treatment feature, shade
structures, lighting, landscaping, and site furnishings. Phase two will add
more trees and landscaping to define the space and increase the native
habitat area.
Despite facing several challenges posed by the sensitive site context, our
team overcame them with sustainable design measures. These solutions
improved the habitat and transformed stormwater facilities into amenities,
educating facility users on the importance of water in our landscape and
improving water quality in the region.
