The Pro-Age Woman April Issue - Flipbook - Page 25
a woman who could be your mother,
your neighbor, your best friend, sister,
or the mother at the school playground. They all briefly share their
perspectives on aging. I didn't want
to photograph models or influencers
but the "ordinary woman" and show
how beautiful they are, instead of the
media image we all feel pressured to
conform to nowadays. My portraits
show that natural aging is beautiful.
AS WE AGE OUR SKINCARE AND
MAKEUP NEEDS CHANGE, WHAT
DO YOU LOOK FOR IN YOUR
BEAUTY PRODUCTS AND WHAT
DO YOU SUGGEST FOR OTHER
WOMEN?
I'm a huge skincare fan, and I truly
believe that good products can make
a significant difference. When I was
trying to conceive, which wasn't easy,
I lived an ultra-healthy lifestyle for
a number of years - focusing on nutrition, exercise, skincare, haircare, and
even home care products (cleaning
agents, detergents, etc.), all of which
were organic and as hormone-free
as possible. I continued this lifestyle
during pregnancy and for a year afterward while breastfeeding. During this
time (about four years from 38 to 40),
skincare and haircare were not my
primary concerns and I tried to apply
as little as possible on my skin.
After breastfeeding, I experienced significant hair loss, and my
skin became dry and dull. I was also
tired from sleepless nights, but incredibly happy. I decided to delve into
skincare and tried out a few products.
