include basics like a good t-shirt, a nice
pair of jeans, a comfortable blazer, a
trench coat, sneakers, loafers, and a
beautiful bag. But as I write this, I find
it sounding dreadfully boring. My
closet is a collection spanning 30
years. My ready-to-wear size is still the
same, and although I find a size 36
constricting and prefer to wear a 38,
I can still fit into many items I wore
20 years ago and maybe will wear
if we shift even more into the fitted
trend, but I doubt it, haha!
BEING YOUÕRE AT THIS MIDDLE
STAGE OF LIFE, WHAT ADVICE
WOULD YOU GIVE TO YOUR
YOUNGER SELF?
Wow, do you have a moment? I asked
this question to all my portrait women
as well. Most of their answers have
truly inspired me; on one hand, because you can't turn back time, and
what's done is done. Ultimately, I
would do everything the same; it has
brought me to where I am now, and I
am where I need to be. But... I would
whisper to my younger self to be more
confident, prouder, less focused on the
love of others, and more on self-love;
and to understand that I don't need
anyone else to thrive, that I am smart,
strong, beautiful, and brave enough.
And that everything will truly be alright. Eventually.
WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT THE
FUTURE, WHAT DOES THAT LOOK
LIKE TO YOU?
I always remain who I am now. But
when I truly take a moment to reflect
on who I am now, I realize that I am
getting older. I often notice it nowadays when I'm with younger women;
they have a carefree attitude that I've
lost along the way. I also notice it when
I've taken on too much, when I want
to do too much, when I do too much.
I'm very ambitious and very active;
I often find myself sitting down at the
end of the day and realizing that I
hadn't sat down all day. I do want to
work on that, take a bit more rest for
my health. Balancing is difficult. Right
now, I have an 8-year-old son who has
a lot of energy, haha. I'm still keeping
up pretty well, but I want to be there
for him for at least another 40 years.
BEFORE WE END, IS THERE ANYTHING MORE THAT YOUÕD LIKE
OUR READER TO KNOW ABOUT
YOU?
I don't think I want to tell the readers
anything about myself, but I do want
to tell them something. You are beautiful worthy and unique, just as you
are. DonÕt let your age define who you
are. You only live once, so make the
most of it without worrying about what
others think.

Good question. When I think about
the future, nothing changes. I never
think about getting older. In my mind,
