THE TALENTS AND SKILLS OF OUR EDENITES
IN FOCUS
Eden students, clients and alumni have demonstrated talents in
areas such as sports and the arts. As we continue to nurture their
potential in these domains, there are several platforms in which
they were able to showcase their skills and works.
National School Games 2023
On 26 April, three of our students from the Athletic team,
Mohammad Zulkhairi Lutfi Bin Mohd Azam, Marcus Ang Gee Hong
and Jaylen Lai Kai Le participated in the National School Games
(NSG) Track and Field Competition 2023 held at the Singapore
Sports Hub.
In the ‘A’ Division 100 metre race, it was a one-two finish as
Zulkhairi secured the 1st position and Marcus the 2nd. In the ‘B’
Division 100 metre race, Jaylen came in 1st in his race.
Kudos to the students for their achievements and to Coach Hanif
for training and motivating the students during their weekly training
sessions.
Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023
Held once every four years, the Special Olympics World Games
is the world’s largest inclusive sports event. This year’s event was
held in Berlin, Germany. Our student athlete Zulkhairi was selected
to participate in three events, together with a contingent of other
athletes participating in various sports.

Zulkhairi did the nation proud by clinching the GOLD medal in the
4x400 metre relay and setting personal best timings in the individual
200 metre and 400 metre events. This is an incredible achievement
and proves Zulkhairi’s consistent display of excellence, hard work,
and dedication. With the unwavering support of his family and
coach, Zulkhairi has shown that nothing is impossible if you put
your heart and mind to it.
