Sarah LaFountain, Trainee

Sarah LaFountain was born in Lexington, Kentucky and began
dancing at the age of eight. She trained at Wilmore Christian
Ballet under the direction of Hannah Henderson for nine years. In
2018, she transferred to Gloria Deo School of the Arts where she
spent the next two years before joining Kentucky Ballet Theatre
Academy to complete her training. She has attended summer
programs at Kentucky Ballet Theatre and Ballet Magnificat in
Jackson, MS and was invited to join Ballet 5:8’s conservatory in
Chicago for their 2020-2021 Season.
In 2018, Ms. LaFountain performed the Russian variation for
Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker. She has performed
soloist roles with her schools in classical ballets including
Coppelia, The Nutcracker and Paquita. While with Kentucky Ballet
Theatre, Sarah has enjoyed performing Russian, Candy Canes,
Flowers’ demi-soloist and Clara’s mother in The Nutcracker. She
has danced in multiple roles of the company’s original ballets,
mixed repertoires, and works with guest choreographer, Andres
Arambula.
Sarah has taught at several local schools for the last six years and
is currently an instructor in KBT’s academy. This is Sarah’s third
season dancing with Kentucky Ballet Theatre.
Emilio Santiago Rosas, Trainee

Emilio Santiago was born in 2002 in Puebla Mexico, began his
studies at a local academy at the age of 15, later moved to the city
of Monterrey and began his professional studies at the Monterrey
High School of Music and Dance, obtaining excellent results and
recognition throughout his career, attending important courses
such as the YAGP, and as a guest dancer attending different
schools and companies in the United States such as Quennedit
Dance Theatre, Royal School of McAllen among others. At the
ESMDM, he has played leading roles and corps de ballet in ballets
such as Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty, Graduate Ball, The
Nutcracker and Gayaneh, and has also shared the stage with
dance stars such as Elisa Carrillo Cabrera at the Monterrey
International Gala. 2019. Important national and international
teachers such as Alejandro Jáuregui, Carlos Atayde, Diana Farias
Ortegon, Telmo Gomez Moreira, Rosalinda Moller, Siner Gonenc
Boquin, Isaac Hernandez, Rosario Murillo, James Kelly, Irina
Provorova, Angelica Kleen have contributed to his artistic training
along with Roberto Machado Inerarity. He finished his studies in
