Task: A famous Person from…
Topic Overview
This topic should enable students to recognise and use some very basic phrases to talk about themselves.
Students will learn to introduce themselves and others and ask and answer questions about personal details
such as where they live, how old they are and give simple physical descriptions. Students may take material
that is relevant to their life and the lives of others from a wider pool of information provided.
Task Description
The aim of this task is for students to familiarise themselves with some famous people from the target language
country/countries. Students present their chosen person to the class by designing a poster, a PowerPoint
presentation or an avatar.
Learning Outcomes
• Identify famous people from Poland
• Explain what each person does and where they come from
• Find out more information on a chosen person through online research
• To write a short text as a chosen famous person
• Be able to create a text with the help of classmates
• To represent this text through creating an avatar character, an oral presentation or a poster
