Task description
Groups have to research a specic tourist attraction and ‘sell’
their chosen tourist attraction to the class.

tourist attraction from the target country/ies
- brainstorm effective language learning strategies
to use when reading websites written in the
target language
- learn about attractions they could visit on a
possible trip to the target country/ies

Task
Outline
- In groups, students are given a specific tourist
attraction from the target country/ies (Sagrada
Família, Camp Nou, Machu Picchu etc.)
Teachers can use the
carousel methodology where
groups share each other’s
tourist attraction. One person
from each group stays at
their table to give
information about and to
promote the tourist
attraction, while their
teammates visit the other
tables to view the other
tourist attractions.
- Each group has to research information about the
attraction and complete a template
- Each group shares their tourist attraction
template with the other class groups
- Once every group has studied the templates, the
class can vote on which attraction they would like
to visit the most/least etc and justify their reasons
