Now it’s time to bring the sales in. Preparing
your catalogues is the first thing that you need
Your team leader will talk you through this but you
will need to:
Add your name and contact details to each order
Mark when you will collect the catalogue by either
circling or highlighting the appropriate day, and
whether it’ll be in the morning or afternoon.
We do not recommend leaving catalogues with
customers longer than 2 nights. If you deliver on a
Monday, then collect on a Wednesday; deliver on a
Tuesday, then collect on a Thursday, etc.
Insert an order form into every catalogue
Continue making up catalogues until you have the
amount ready that you wish to deliver. This is an
easy job you can do whilst watching television.
To make your life easier - contact details labels
and self inking stamps are available online via the
distributor shop at www.betterwaresupport.co.uk.
Catalogue | Steps to Success
The one true thing with this business is that if your
catalogues are in your house they won’t be earning
you money. They should never be in your house.
Use the territory record sheet to keep track of where
you have delivered to.
Good luck and don’t forget to ask your team leader
what works for them, the best way to hit the ground
running is to do what they do.
While your first batch of catalogues are out working
hard for you we thought it would be a good time for
you to establish a catalogue routine. A catalogue
routine is getting yourself into a habit of doing
regular work on your catalogue business. Little and
often while you build your customer base.
Remember, perseverance is the key. Keep working
your streets until your customers see that you are
regular and then you will see that not only your
customer numbers grow your average order value
will keep increasing as well.
A catalogue routine is planning your week from
Monday – Sunday, working out which days you will
put out your catalogues and commit to a certain
number each time as well.
