Dear Friends,
Field at 50 was a joyous yearlong celebration
of our history and our dynamic launch into the
next fifty years. Current families, students,
alumni, and faculty joined us for 50th activities
at Homecoming, Winter Arts Showcase,
Studio Day, and Dare to Be Field.
Providing a student-centered, relevant, and meaningful educational experience for all of our
students is continually made possible by your partnership and generosity. We exceeded The
Field Fund goal of $1.35 million dollars. Dare to Be Field, our flagship financial aid fundraising
event, raised $398,000 towards the $2.9 million dollars that supports 20% of our student body.
Philanthropy launched the first phase of our master planning process with the renovation of five
new state-of-the-art science labs and classrooms. We are grateful for your philanthropic support
as well as your volunteer efforts through the Field Parents Association. Our community is
stronger through our continued work and partnership.
Will Pecau (P ’18, ’20), as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the last four years, exhibited both
steadiness and strategic, visionary thinking. He led us with agility and integrity through COVID,
a head of school transition, the master planning process, and stewarded our financial health.
Always at the ready with an appropriate quote, parable, or analogy, his wise and humble ways
ensure our mission is well-lived. Thank you, Will, for your time, energy, expertise, and compassion.
You were exactly what this community and institution needed, and have left us prepared for the
next 50 years of Field.
Warmly,
Nelson Torres (P ‘20)
Lori Strauss
