2023 A Major
Anniversary Year
for Halsey Keetch
We were delighted to celebrate the milestone of 35 years in GRC search across
昀椀nancial services with some of our warmest contacts and friends in autumn last year.
We thank everyone who joined us at
The Don in the City of London in October
2023 for wonderful food, fast-昀氀owing
drinks, and a by turns entertaining and
sobering presentation from esteemed
journalist and
bestselling author,
Tim Marshall. Tim’s
most recent books
on geopolitics,
including the already
best-selling ‘The
Future of Geography’,
are hugely recommended. All are superbly
enjoyable and fascinating, illuminating
reads, especially in the context of recent
geopolitical events.
For our part, taking over and running our
now 35-year-old family business has been
a huge privilege and we have enjoyed
every minute of the journey since 2015,
despite the occasional bump in the road!

HK HIGHLIGHTS
We know that our late founder, Nigel
Halsey, would have been delighted to
see us all together, celebrating another
major anniversary.
We also hosted a number of networking
breakfast events and book club meetings
during the year, covering topics and
titles of interest. We discussed the 30th
anniversary and recent activities of
Protect, the whistleblowing charity, with
Karen Jordan, Protect’s Board Audit and
Risk Committee Chair. With Nick Spencer,
an actuarial investment specialist and
expert in the 昀椀eld, we discussed the
latest unnerving developments in the
昀椀eld of climate change, a hugely
challenging and complex issue facing
humanity, with an emphasis on risk
management for investment
management organisations. We
also read Suzy Levy’s important book,
‘Mind The Inclusion Gap’, on how
organisations can and should take
practical but meaningful steps forward
with their DEI programmes, and discussed
this at a well-attended meeting of our
Book Club in late summer.
