Serving as a good example
As a natural consequence of the demands on
cooperation partners to act responsibly, we
make similar demands on ourselves as a
business. Consequently, employees are
expected to demonstrate a high degree of
responsibility, integrity and ethical awareness in
their daily work.
Policies and guidelines are updated regularly, so
that they support our actions and thereby
contribute to such integrity.
learning courses within the GDPR and IT security
to ensure an updated, high level of knowledge
for everyone. We follow up to make sure that all
employees take part in relevant campaigns. In
2023, we will further develop awareness
campaigns and e-learning courses to target
them at different topics and target groups.
Work in the company's risk management
function has provided a culture in which
operational errors and incidents are reported to
a central register. This also applies for violations
within the areas regulated by the data policy.
Data ethics
A data policy has been drawn up, providing a
number of guidelines for data ethics. One
requirement in the policy is that member data be
stored and managed appropriately, and the
policy goes beyond the regulatory minimum
requirements, e.g. in the GDPR.
New solutions are designed and IT systems are
developed with data ethics in mind to ensure
compliance with the policy's requirements

Industriens Pension supports the Danish

data ethics behaviour.
All employees at Industriens Pension regularly

Five breaches of personal data security were
reported to the Danish Data Protection Agency
in 2022. The Danish Data Protection Agency has
completed its processing of the cases and will
take no further action in relation to the breaches.
Data security breaches at Industriens Pension
are primarily the result of isolated human errors
causing personal data to unintendedly be sent
or disclosed to a wrong recipient. This and other
similar risks are regularly being assessed, and,
through training, controls and/or IT support,
Industriens Pension seeks to minimise the scope
of such incidents.
Our owner-occupied property was the first in
Denmark to receive sustainability certification
under to the new principles for buildings in use,
and has a Silver certification. The electricity used
to operate the property is 100% green.
Replacement of company cars to low emission
cars has begun, and charging stations have
been established at the property.
An internal sustainability group has been set up
to communicate regularly various sustainability
messages and identify initiatives that can help
reduce the environmental footprint and energy
consumption of the offices. This is through
various measures to encourage employees to
change their behaviour.
A new lunch scheme has been set up focusing
on more sustainable solutions and on reducing
avoidable food waste, eliminating disposable
plastics and having fruit delivered by bicycle.
In 2022, extensive waste separation was
implemented, which means that separation

initiatives to ensure more reuse of paper.
In 2023, we will continue in this direction, and
we currently have plans to optimise lightning in
the property substantially.
Table 3 shows the calculation of Industriens
Pension’s own environmental data.
The increase in scope 3 is fully linked to air travel
by management. There were more flights than in
2021, when activity was unusually low due to
Covid-19. Emissions under scope 3 at 121 tonnes
are, however, significantly lower than in 2019,
which was the last year before Covid-19. Back
then total emissions under scope 3 amounted to
439 tonnes.
