FINAL FY23 Annual Report - Flipbook - Page 7
We are delighted to have committed $84 million in NMTCs since 2020. These
projects help create quality jobs, impact the community, and help provide
investment opportunities to underserved or distressed communities.
CEF has been allocated another $60 million by the US Treasury Department that
will be used in FY24. We look forward to discovering upcoming projects that will
continue to make an impact.
Vail Health Services
Providing an inpatient mental health
facility is the objective of the NMTC
given to Vail Health Services (VHS).
There is a critical need in the Eagle
and Summit counties for inpatient
mental health services. The closest
psychiatric hospitals are a minimum
two-hour drive. To address this need,
VHS is constructing a 45,000 sf
facility in Edwards to serve 1,550
patients annually. At least 60% of
patients are expected to be lowincome persons or residents of lowincome communities. This facility is
expected to open in 2025.
Food Bank of
the Rockies
Food Bank of the Rockies (FBR) is a
well-known hunger relief
organization, but did you know it is
the largest in the Rocky Mountain
region? CEF was pleased to help this
nonprofit group build a new
distribution facility on the Western
Slope to alleviate food insecurity by
distributing 16 million pounds of food
and serving 50,000+ low-income
individuals annually. FBR is also
planning to build another critically
needed distribution center in Aurora
in 2024.
