in July 2009. Rob had at last

his 80th Birthday after which he decided
that he should call it a day. His other love
was traditional Jazz. Rob and Heather
were members of the South Molton Jazz
Club for many years4then Bude Jazz Club,
and Rob helped to arrange over 20 years of Jazz Picnics
to raise money for the Children's Hospice; a Jubilee Jazz event in the
village and 4 more successful evenings in the Parish Hall raising money
for local charities and more recently for the Devon Air Ambulance, who
tried to save him in his last hours.
