2024 01 Spring with bleed V4 - Flipbook - Page 33
Tortellini, a steak burger, and pheasant Kiev. All beautifully presented,
with sides that included bubble and squeak and purple sprouting broccoli.
Vegetarians are well catered for throughout the menu. We were really
quite full after that but couldn9t resist looking at the pudding menu and in
the end chose three to sample between us. A pistachio creme brûlée with
hazelnut shortbread and chocolate sorbet, an
apple Bakewell tart with creme Anglaise and the
most delicious apple sorbet and onally, with our
coffees, some festive petit fours. Everything was
cooked to perfection and beautifully presented,
served by friendly and
knowledgeable staff. We agreed
we couldn9t ond fault and look
forward to going back again. The
inn is open Thursday to Sunday, closed
Monday to Wednesday and is situated
within walking distance of Yeoford station
on the Tarka line. Check train timetables.

This year9s KN Classic will follow a similar format
to last year, though it will finish at 1pm, an hour
earlier, leaving time for Sunday lunch in The
Grove. All classic cars, bikes and tractors
welcome, with an additional tractor parade
through the village. Last year we had approx 35
cars, 7 bikes and 3 tractors, not quite full capacity,
but very close. We raised approx. £700 through
donations and food revenue, split between the
church and Devon Air Ambulance. This year all
profits will be split between the church and Cystic
Fibrosis (a charity that I am involved with) I'm
hoping this year we can better that. We also have
a sponsor in DTL auto repairs based in Chulmeigh
It's amazing in this small village, we have approx 6
households with classic cars and 1 with a fully
electric car! See pictures from last year online
