The Parish Council has continued its efforts to address the pothole
repairs and general road maintenance issues throughout the parish. We
are delighted to announce that the road from Meethe to Sampson Cross
is scheduled for repairs in the coming weeks. This welcome
development is made possible by funds
reallocated from the cancelled HS2
project, with Kings Nympton being
fortunate to secure funding for this muchneeded work. Further discussions on
road issues will be held at the April
meeting. The Parish Council extends its
sincere gratitude to Devon County
Councillor Paul Henderson for his
invaluable assistance in this matter.
Meanwhile, Councillor Pailthorpe has
been actively coordinating meetings with
neighbouring councils to address
concerns regarding the frequency of train
stops at Kings Nympton Station. We
anticipate providing updates on any
progress made in the near future. As we
near the end of the Parish Council's
onancial year, we are pleased to report
that our onances remain robust. The endThe road earmarked for repair of-year accounts and associated AGAR
paperwork will soon be accessible for
viewing on the Kings Nympton website. Please note that our meeting
schedule has been adjusted to Thursday evenings. Our next meeting is
scheduled for Thursday, April 18th at 7.00 p.m. Additionally, we invite all
residents to attend the Annual Parish Meeting on Thursday, May 30th at
7:00 p.m., followed by the Annual Parish Council meeting at 7:30 p.m.
