UniSA 2021 Donor Impact Report - Flipbook - Page 5
Vice Chancellor’s
Welcome
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks
to you, as one of more than 2,000 generous
individuals, partners and supporters in our
community, who raised a transformative
amount of philanthropic contributions in 2021.
This past year you have contributed to
some extraordinary initiatives. Thanks to
your generosity and the donations that you
give, we were able to continue our research
into solving global challenges, and the
scholarships you offered contributed greatly
to the future success of a new generation of
professionals.
We can’t do this without relying greatly on
the generosity of our donors and supporters
who help us create futures for many of our
students and research breakthroughs.
I am thrilled to share that in 2021, over $13
million in philanthropic funding was donated
and pledged to UniSA – a record amount
given. Next year we have our sights set
on reaching $15 million for research and
education, and I hope we can achieve this
goal together.
This has also all happened in our 30th
year as the University of South Australia.
UniSA and its antecedent institutions have
welcomed almost 230,000 individuals into
our community, and all of them did and are
doing real and useful work around the world.
I am very proud that today, as we have for
the past 30 years and the 135 years before
that, we have flung our doors wide open to
welcome anyone with a thirst for answers and
an ability to work hard enough to get them.
This is not possible without you. Whatever
your connection to UniSA, the investment of
your time, talent and treasure towards our
shared cause has not gone unnoticed.
Please allow me to express my profound
gratitude for everything you do as you
partner with us to provide education,
resources and knowledge that are central to
the progression and prosperity of society and
our world.
Thank you.

Vice Chancellor and President
University of South Australia
Every single dollar you contribute is put to
work for our students and our researchers,
and I thank you for that generosity.
Together, we can achieve something remarkable
