enthusiasts to explore. Fuel up your tank and hit
the road to discover the region’s beauty. The Grand
Algoma Tour journey begins in Sault Ste. Marie and
takes you through the twists and turns of Highway
129. Then head north to Algoma’s northern reaches,
concluding with the stunning Lake Superior coastline.
If you want to explore more, take Highway 631 and
enjoy the exhilarating sweepers and smooth pavement
to Hearst. Make stops in White River and Hornepayne
communities to refuel. The Island North Tour offers a
mix of paved and gravel roads, while the Deer Trail
Tour loop around Elliot Lake, through Blind River and
Iron Bridge, is perfect for a day trip. Whether you prefer
smooth pavement or adventurous road surfaces,
Algoma caters to all motorcycle enthusiasts.
BY SNOWMOBILE
Even when the seasons change and snow blankets the
landscape, Algoma’s touring opportunities remain just
as promising. If you seek the winter version of the See
It All Algoma tour, then the “All The Way There” tour
is perfect for you. It showcases the some of the best
snowmobile trails and communities of Wawa, Sault Ste.
Marie, Dubreuilville, and Chapleau; snowmobiling is a
way of life here. You can’t claim to have experienced
this tour until you explore the far-reaching communities
of White River, Hornepayne, and Hearst, where
snowmobiles often outnumber cars during the winter.
For weekend adventurers, the North Shore Loop offers
stunning views of the Lake Huron North Channel,
providing an opportunity to explore St. Joseph Island
and access the International Ice Bridge to Drummond
Island, Michigan, U.S.A. It’s the perfect blend of easy
access and thrilling experiences.
BY BOAT
Located on the edge of Lakes Superior and Huron
and with an abundance of inland lakes and rivers to
explore, Algoma Country is an excellent destination
for boating enthusiasts. Discover hidden bays, sandy
beaches, and sheltered docking facilities along the
North Channel of Lake Huron. Lake Superior’s vast and
unspoiled shoreline boasts countless coves and bays
where boaters can drop anchor and enjoy the beauty
of nature.
Embarking on an adventure, whether by car, RV,
motorcycle, snowmobile, ATV, or boat, is all about the
exhilarating discoveries that await along the journey.
Algoma offers a world full of wonders waiting to be
explored. So, ignite those engines and let’s go.
