Video option:
Your stories are part of our story.
Our students, past pupils and staff are an integral part of our
extraordinary history. As we celebrate our 160th anniversary in 2021,
we invite you to share something of your All Hallows’ experience with
us. Our aim is to collect and collate 160 (or more) stories to
commemorate our 160 years. It may be a funny, happy, significant or
sentimental moment in time. It might be a vignette or recollection that
speaks to what you learned, how your school days defined you, the
friend you made or someone who made a lasting impression on you,
even perhaps changed the course of your life.

How to submit a story/memory:
Please email your story (and where applicable, photos) to: ppa@ahs.qld.edu.au
If you have multiple photos, please consider the file size and send them in in
smaller numbers over a few emails.
Please include:
· A suitable heading (which should represent what the story is about).
· Your name – current, and what you were known by during your time as AHS, plus the year you left the
school and what year level you were at leaving.
· Your current contact information – particularly email and mobile/phone.
· Any relevant photos or items (non-returnable – these will automatically be
included in our Archives Collection) that could accompany your story.
Word length: maximum 400 words
Please note: if your contribution exceeds this word limit, it may be shortened in the editing process. We
reserve the right to make any necessary edits for consistency or readability.
Photographs or other items:
Photos should always be sent separately to the word document, as a .jpeg file.
Photos must be of high resolution, please send a .jpeg file larger than 1000kb (please do not lower photo
resolution for emailing).
If you have any questions about the photo size or resolution, please contact us.

If you would rather tell your story by video, we have some guidelines below:
1.
Please do your recording in landscape format (rectangle with wider
top and bottom and shorter sides)
2.
Frame yourself so you have a little space above your head and we see
your shoulders and top of chest
3.
For better light, you could face a window or light source when
filming
4.
Your inbuilt microphone on your phone should be fine, but watch
wind noise if you are outside.
If you would prefer, we can assist with the filming of your video.
Permission to use:
Our 160 Stories may appear in our social media, school newsletter, be part of school events and gatherings
or in displays around the site during 2021. By submitting your story, you are giving permission for us to share
it should we choose to – but be assured it will be done with respect and in the spirit of connectivity and
positivity.
Deadline for submissions: March 1, 2021
