in spades. How else has he managed to convince billions of
people throughout history that his Jesus story is authentic,
even though there are countless holes in it?
He may have been a great PR guy for Jesus, but he was
also one of the most shady and sneaky characters that ever
walked the face of the earth. And he was so arrogant, he
didn’t even try to hide his deceptions.
Read his words carefully and see if they don’t
bring back memories of one of those smarmy salesmen
you’ve dealt with in your life, who will tell you every
thing you want to hear so they can con you out of your
hard-earned money:
“To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To
those under the law I became like one under the law
(though I myself am not under the law), so as to win
those under the law. To those not having the law I be
came like one not having the law (though I am not free
from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win t
hose not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to
win the weak. I have become all things to all people so
that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this
for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in
1 Corinthians 9:20-22
